Slacker Tip #202 - Never Friend Coworkers on Facebook
At the last job I started one of the first things I was asked by the guy training me was “Do you Facebook?”
When this happens to you at work the correct answer is always “NO.” Seriously. Don’t even be tempted to say yes. In the event that you become good friends with someone you can always friend them later.
You see, friending coworkers on Facebook can lead to all sorts of problems for a slacker. People always know what you’re doing. If you get on Facebook at work then people will know about it. If you call in sick but take a trip to Rio and post the pics then the coworkers will see it. It’s just a bad idea all around that can result in you getting fired from that job that is so easy to do nothing at all day.
