Slacker Tip #196 - Don’t be seen
I was reading an article yesterday on how people call in sick when they are not and get caught. The way that most people get caught is that they are seen out when they are supposed to be home sick.
I think it goes without saying that you can’t been seen when you have called in sick. Once I called in sick to take a long weekend vacation in NYC. This trip included seeing a favorite band on the Today show. I had to wear a hat and keep my head down though as they film the audience at the Today show because I couldn’t chance a boss or co-worker seeing me on TV!
Once I lived only 5 minutes from work. That meant that when I called in sick that I could not go out to the grocery store or anything like that in my local area as a co-worker could be out and about.
