Being Sick Excuse #50 - I’m having an allergic reaction
If you have ever experienced an allergic reaction then you know that this is a viable excuse. If you tell this to your boss they will likely envision you with swollen, red, puffy skin covered in hives. And they’d likely be correct - if you were telling the truth!
Call in with this and tell them that you may have to go to the hospital for a steroid shot if it doesn’t get better. If they ask for the dr’s note when you come in the next day you can let them know that you didn’t end up going as the Benedryl started easing your symptoms.
