CareerBuilder recently did an article on what they thought were amusing late excuses. Actually, what is amusing is that someone thought these excuses would work.
Retarded late excuse #1 -
My heat was shut off so I had to stay home to keep my snake warm.
Seriously. I think the obvious question here is – how does one keep a snake warm? A better excuse would have been “my electricity was off and I overslept since my alarm clock wasn’t on.”
