Posted by: the complete slacker on Sunday, March 29th, 2009

For some reason there have been a lot of people checking out Slacker Tip #145 – making your own fake paycheck stubs. I’m not sure why the sudden surge of interest, but I wanted to address a few things on this particular tip.

Whatever you are making a fake paycheck stub for is likely to be highly illegal. So, consider the repercussions of what you are doing. This is an important point because based on the recent comments on that post there are a lot of newbies attempting this.

If you actually read the entire post for tip #145 you will see that you do not scan your old paycheck stub. Newbies! You simply use it as a guide. And frankly, if you can’t figure that out you really have no place attempting to make a fake paycheck stub. I bet you’re also using the same workplace on your fake stub. NEWSFLASH – Whoever you are giving your little fake paycheck stub too can, and likely will, call the company listed on the paycheck stub.

End of discussion.

i agree that you can make your own paystub.
however, there’s one problem:
But what do you do when you are required to fill out a form with the name and phone of your employer?
So even if you write a fake company and number, whatever it is you’re applying for, these people are going to call the phone number you put on the form. And they’ll find out that you don’t work there, or whatever, and you’ll be turned down.
Is there a way around this?

Get a second phone number that you can use for this purpose.

Hi , a question if I’m on unemployment and they are running a credit report while verifying my fake paystub, will they see that i’m on unemployment?

Nope. A credit report only shows things like credit cards, loans, collection accounts and judgments such as bankruptcy.

if you dont have a number you can use just go buy one of those cheap minute cell phones and dont ever use it so if it rings you can answer with the name of the company cause youll know thats the only one with that number.you can buy these phones for as little as 9.99 and they usually come with 30 or so minutes, which youll never need unless they check you out.good luck
