Being Sick Excuse #46- someone smashed my car window
Have you ever had your car broken into? I have. The culprits smashed a window to get into the car. That means glass all over the seat. It’s pretty hard to drive if there is glass all in your seat.
For an easy excuse to get out of a day of work call in at around the time you would be leaving your place and tell your boss that someone broke into your car last night and smashed the windows. Go on to say that you aren’t going to make it in today as you have to clean the glass up out of the seat and get a new windshield.
Obviously this can be an easy one to get away with as you show up to work the next day with a perfect looking windshield. But this one can screw you if you are not careful.
Tips for success on this one:
- If you have stickers on all of your windows this won’t work because the stickers would not be on the new windows!
- Your “new” window cannot be dirty. If it was truly new then it would be clean.
- You may want to look up the price of window replacement in your area. There is a decent chance someone will try to sympathize with you and will ask how much it cost to replace the window. Be prepared to answer.
