Slacker tip #156 - know when the boss arrives

Posted by: the complete slacker on Thursday, April 10th, 2008

As a slacker it is a good idea to know when the boss arrives to work. You see, if you know what time your boss comes and goes you are better able to schedule your slacking time.

For instance, if you know that the boss arrives at 8:15 each day then you also know that you, too, can arrive late as long as it is by 8:15. And if you know that the boss walks by your desk when arriving, then you know to look busy until after 8:15.

It is also a good idea to know when the boss arrives for when you are calling in. I like to call in when I know that I will get voicemail. Because sometimes the boss gets pissy when people call in. And I do not want to be on the receiving end of that. Plus I do not like to give them a chance to ask too many questions.
