Are Credit Bureaus Really Looking Out For You?

Are you worried about identity theft? I think about it a lot myself. It seems like it is something that happens more often as each day goes on. And from what I have read about people who have had it happen to them it is pretty difficult if not almost impossible to get things straightened out after it happens to you. That is why the services of a company like lifelock seem like a good thing to me. You see, LifeLock is a company that you can use to put fraud alerts on your credit report files so that you do not have to worry with identity theft. They also do things like opt you out of pre-approved credit card offers. It seems like a good service to me.

But Experian does not think so. In fact, they are taking LifeLock to court over it! Experian does not think that LifeLock should be allowed to put the fraud alerts out for consumers. Why? Because it cuts into their bottom line!
