Slacker tip #141 - go on leap year strike
So here is what I am thinking - I don’t want to work on Feb. 29th and I think I know how to get out of it.
Here are my ideas.
One - I could just not show up and when I get a call or get confronted upon returning to work I can respond “What are you talking about? There’s only 28 days in February, moron!”
Two - Tell them I will not be there on Feb. 29th. When they ask why I can just nervously screech “I have a phobia!”
Three - Tell them that I am not going to be there on Feb. 29th as I am a “leapist” and will be taking it as a holiday. When they ask what a leapist is I will tell them that is is my religion. The way I figure it, if a sci-fi author can create a religion believed to be legitimate by a number of people (Scientology) then I can create one to meet my needs too.
