Slacker tip #139 - be prepared to take advantage of a slacking opportunity
As a complete slacker it is important to be ready to take full advantage of a prime slacking opportunity as it presents itself. Sometimes you can’t plan ahead for these things so you just have to be ready to jump on them.
For instance, I was wanting to leave work early today to come home and watch the Super Tuesday stuff on TV. That and I just didn’t want to be at work cause my boss is a twat. Did I ask for the time off in advance? Nope. I planned on playing sick at work.
As luck would have it I was able to take advantage of a prime slacking opportunity without it seeming suspicious. Lucky for me a girl across the isle came back from a doctor’s appointment that she had a 101 degree fever and strep throat! I jumped on that as a perfect excuse. When I told my boss I was not feeling well she told me that she was not surprised as apparently the guy that sits across from me had called in sick and the one girl had just left sick.
Know what that means? I can safely call in tomorrow and it look totally legit! Score!
