Slacker tip #136 - always be prepared to slack
A good slacker is always prepared to be doing something other that what they are supposed to be doing.
I try to carry a little steno pad and a pen with me everywhere that I go. This means that I can be a slacker doodling in my notebook in no time flat. This means always go to meetings with a pen and paper. Presentations? Ditto. Seminars? Yup, those too. Class - definitely. I even like to take my chances and read a book or magazine when I think I can get away with it.
It goes without saying though that a pen and paper on your person are the most valuable slacker desert island items. If you have that you can do pretty much anything other than what you are supposed to be doing. And that is truly awesome.
