Slacker tip #132 - how to deceptively seem like a non-slacker in your interview
Sometimes it can be pretty hard work trying to get a job that will pay you to do nothing.
I have interviewed and successfully had lots of jobs. So that makes me somewhat of an expert. At least that is what I think.
Anyways, you have to be careful to not let them know that you are a slacker during the interview.
Here are a few things that I always try to make sure and say that make employers think that I am a perfect little worker bee instead of a complete slacker.
- “It was not challenging enough.” (in response to why I left a previous job)
- “I am really organized, I hate to be late and I am a total perfectionist.” (in response to what my strengths are)
- “Since I am a perfectionist I sometimes end up spending too much time proofing projects to make sure that there are no errors.” (in response to what a weakness is of mine)
And those are just some of the little gems that I use. If you have any that you think are exceptionally effective (and deceptive) leave them in the comments!
