Signs you have the worst job for slackers #1
Have you ever had your boss chase you? If you work at a daycare or some other place where “tag, you’re it!” is a daily staple then this question does not apply to you.
But seriously - have you ever been at a job and had your boss chase after you when you leave for the day. Not because you are stealing something. Not because of anything that you think. I mean chasing you because they want you to stay longer?
This happened to me last week. I was leaving work after working a 12 hour day and my boss was chasing after me to stay longer! See, I love me some overtime but not quite that much! And I had offered to come in at 6 am the next day but the douche bags I worked with wanted to stay until midnight instead. This slacker has a life and better things to do, so I left at 7pm.
I left my desk, got down the hall by the door to go to the elevators when I saw her out of the corner of my eye. She was yelling my name. I made a speedy exit through the doors and down the stairs. Why the stairs? Because I could not chance waiting for the elevator and her reaching me.
That is when I said to myself - this is the worst job ever. I will never get away with doing nothing and getting paid for it here.
