Slacker tip #118 – get a video iPod
Sometimes you get a job that blocks your internet access. That is outrageous. Here at Complete Slacker we are totally against jobs like that. In fact, if you get a job with no internet access you may want to think about getting a new one. I mean, sure, you can be a slacker even if there is no internet, but the internet sure does cure boredom and make the day go faster!
Of course, sometimes playing on the internet gets you in trouble. Sometimes you might get a job that has an IT department full of a bunch of wankers that pull reports each week of all of the employees internet access. That is the worst. How do those people sleep at night? They have to be the lowest of low when it comes to douche bags at work.
Anyways, sometimes you need something besides the internet to do at work. Enter the video iPod. I don’t actually have an iPod, I have one of the Creative Zen players that plays videos, so the use of iPod is just a generic catch-all for ‘handheld devices that play videos.’ But think about the possibilities here – those of you that can’t resist the urge to look at porn at work can now do it via the video iPod with no one even knowing about it! Or download some TV shows to watch. Or even a movie. Me – I have some ripped concert DVDs on my player. Oh yeah.
Think about it – getting paid to watch a movie or to watch porn. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
