Slacker tip #113 - don’t broadcast your slacker ways
You know, I think being able to successfully do nothing at work and not get caught is really freaking sweet. But that does not mean that everyone else feels the same way. And here’s a tip for you - your co-workers probably won’t either!
Here’s a story for you -
My mom calls me last night. She’s 50 and works in an office setting. She has a co-worker in her 20s. She tells me how she has been fed up at work because the boss keeps giving her loads of work to do instead of the co-worker because the boss thinks that the co-worker is too busy. My mom is mad because she says she knows that the co-worker is not busy because she told her that she shuffles papers around throughout the day so that she looks busy.
Guess what happened next?
Yup, the slacker done got told on.
Moral of the story - don’t tell you co-workers that they are getting extra work because you are a sneaky little slacker.
