Slacker tip #69 - forward other phones to your boss
If you haven’t guessed it yet I really like to keep the boss busy. Of course part of that could be my problem with authority figures. I just don’t like being told what to do, you know? Plus it is always a good idea to keep away the person that can fire you and what not, unless of course you are trying to get fired so you can get unemployment like me.
One way to keep the boss busy and away from your desk is to make sure they get loads of phone calls all day long.
How can you do this?
Easy.
When you get to work, assuming you can get there before a lot of your co-workers, go around to all the empty desks and forward the phones to the phone of the boss. For bonus points, go to other people’s desk and forward their phone to the boss. And for infinity bonus points, see if you can figure out how to forward the fax machine to the boss.
Then, prepare to have a fun day getting paid to do nothing while your boss is answering the phone. all day. heh.
