Are all slackers great actors? Or is it just me?
My last post got me to thinking - part of being a successful slacker involves having pretty awesome acting skills. Now I was never in drama club or anything and I never moved to Los Angeles to try to be a star. But I have to tell you, I can give Oscar-worthy performances. How else do you think I kept up the charade that I had a child during my invent a kid project? (For those of you new to Complete Slacker, yes, people with kids do have an easier time missing work.)
So I have to wonder if all the other successful slackers out there have any Oscar-worthy performances that they have put on?
I can cry on the spot, in fact I have done it more than once to get time off for a non-existent funeral. Apparently this is no small feat as I helped out on the set of an indie movie last summer and one of the actresses could not cry to save her life. Clearly she could never get away with doing nothing at work.
What have you done that was Oscar-worthy? Or maybe you’ve seen someone else put on a performance to beat all performances? Hey, maybe you’ve worked with me!
