Temp jobs & getting unemployment, tip #2 - make tardy your middle name
If you recall, I am on a quest. A quest to sit at home and get paid. Unemployment paid that is. So far, I have been making up my own schedule. That went over well and resulted in a bit of a talking to, via email. Up next on the list is being late when I feel like it. And not calling to let anyone know! Yes, I admit, it is an easy way to get fired. Or is it?
I have spent the past week coming in late. Like an hour late. Apparently no one has noticed. That is a bummer.
The worst part? I got notice that the company is changing staffing agencies as of the 26th of August. And since I am such a good employee I have been selected to transition to the new staffing agency and stay onboard with the company. wtf? However, this proves what a skilled slacker I am. Last week I came in late and left early every day and I did not do a drop of work. Yet, I am a good employee in their eyes. Eyes that are in serious need of a checkup.
Oh, what does it take to get fired these days?!?
I have a few more ideas. Things so foul that you really don’t want to have to resort to using them. But hey, times are tough and I need to be sitting at home getting paid yo. Do you have any ideas for me? Shout ‘em out.
