Slacker tip #46 - Suggest new projects…for others
Sometimes the only thing standing between you doing nothing at work and getting away with it is a nosy co-worker. They can be a real pain in the ass. But there is a way to throw them off your scent and end up looking like a real go-getter in the eyes of your boss.
If you work in an office, then you most likely have department meetings on a regular basis. If you work in an office like mine, you have a meeting in the morning and then you have a meeting about the meeting in the afternoon. Typically at department meetings a supervisor asks if anyone has any suggestions or ideas. This is your moment.
You should suggest a new “project” that doesn’t involve anything that you do, but what the nosy co-worker does. If your boss bites, then you look like you are a contributing team member and the co-worker from hell gets more work to do. It’s a win-win for you.
Just don’t shoot yourself in the foot by suggesting something that you could get stuck doing!

Nice tip. But, what if you work with a bunch of worthless dumb fucks?
Don’t get me wrong, some of them are nice. And, I even enjoy getting drunk with some of them.
But, they can’t spell. They can’t talk in an office-appropriate manner.
They can’t shut the fuck up at work and be quiet.
In fact, the office is so damn noisy that it’s nearly impossible for me to work. Add to that the hellishly hot temperature (the AC in my dungeon has been busted for a decade or two, I’ve been told), and it’s total hell.
Their noise interferes with my slacking off. So does the heat. Shady bastards.
