Getting outta work excuse #8 – graduation
From now until about the 2nd week of June, a seasonal get-out-of-work opportunity is available. Going to someone’s graduation. The great thing about this excuse, is that it won’t require any backup documentation.
It can be a preschool graduation, kindergarten graduation, middle school, high school or college graduation. The beauty of this excuse is that there is no standard time for these things to happen.
For instance, my nephew has a preschool graduation this Thursday at 6:30pm. I’m taking the whole day off though, with no problems whatsoever. Even if you work in one of those PTO nazi places that won’t allow you time off unless you have PTO to cover it, this will work! No one wants to deny you going to see your nephew/son/cousin/etc from graduating because it only happens once.
Your boss think you have a large family? Good! That means you can miss work for more than one graduation! And don’t forget that college graduations also happen in December and at the end of the summer semester.
