Why temp jobs are great for slackers
Most temp agencies have this schweet little thing on their timesheets where they want you to round your time to the nearest 15 minutes. This is beautiful. In fact, I wish all jobs did this. The experienced slacker knows how to maximize their rounding.
For instance, say your schedule is 8-5 with a hour lunch. This means you are working 8 hours. The complete slacker can get paid for 8 hours while only working 7 hrs and 32 minutes. You arrive at 8:07 (round to 8:00) and leave for lunch at 1:08 (round to 1:15) and return from lunch at 2:22 (round to 2:15) and leave for the day at 4:53 (round to 5:00). So, you’re only getting an extra 28 minutes, but at some jobs that feels like a lifetime!
